🌞 Green regeneration after vacation – what to do when your plants are barely hanging on? 🌞
Share
Did you return from vacation with a head full of memories... and pots full of DRAMA? 😱 A withered monstera, an overwatered fern, a sulking orchid. Relax! Instead of tearing out your hair (and leaves), it's better to tackle plant resuscitation – step by step, with humor and hope.
🔍 Step 1: Inspection – time for a detective in slippers 🕵️♀️🕵️♂️
Before you panic, check what actually happened:
-
The ground is as dry as chips? 🏜️ That's a sign that someone here missed water.
-
Leaves yellow, brown, wrinkled, or mysteriously disappeared? A plant soap opera.
-
Roots still firm and white? There's hope! Brown and slippery? Well... time for some tough decisions.
🚿 Step 2: Action – Resuscitation 💦
🌵 Plant dried out?
Submerge the pot in a bowl of water for 20–30 minutes – let it drink until it is full.
🌧️ Flooded plant?
Take it out of the pot, remove the wet soil, leave the roots to dry, then new soil and... fingers crossed!
✂️ Step 3: Green SPA ✂️
Time for plant care:
-
Prune off what is dead, dry, and yellow.
-
Leave only the healthy parts – the plant will focus on regeneration, not fighting for survival with dead leaves.
🌤️ Step 4: Rest in the shade
Don't expose a freshly revived plant to the harsh sun. Give it some rest in a spot with diffused light. This is a treatment, not a punishment camp!
🧴 Step 5: Green Cheering 🌿⚡
-
Nettle mist or algae bio-fertilizer – plants love natural support.
-
A little patience and a lot of positive energy. You give it a chance, and the plant will reward you 🌱
